Class of 2024

This is the first class of high school students and recent graduates to attend the Multicultural Media Academy in person at Howard University since 2019. The program, which was founded in 1975, adopted a virtual format during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students produced a wide range of health-related stories, each focusing on significant issues impacting minority communities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. These topics included senior healthcare, which examined the unique challenges faced by the elderly in accessing quality care, as well as youth caregiving, highlighting the growing number of young people who take on caregiving responsibilities for older relatives.
